Bookish Tay

Good Books + Good Living

About Me

About Taylor

Hi friend, I’m Taylor and the creator of Bookish Tay. And I’m so happy you’re here! I’m book and lifestyle blogger, wife to Griffin, mama to Von, book enthusiast and french fry lover. I believe that life is better with good books + good friends and I’m here to help you find both of those!

Growing up I always knew that I’d be a writer, I just didn’t know what that would look like until recently. Now I’ve got this blog and I’m working hard on my first novel!

I’ve got anxiety and PTSD and for a long time I let those two things define me, but no more. I know that I’m a daughter of God and that I’ve got infinite worth. I choose to live with courage and vulnerability, especially on the hard days.

I love God, my family, and really good books.

About The Blog

I’ve been blogging for 10 years now, and Bookish Tay is the first blog that I truly love. In 2016 I realized that I LOVE talking about books, but it wasn’t until 2018/2019 that I really took the plunge. My blog has gone through many transformations, but now I’m happy to say that Bookish Tay will be sticking around for a while!

Bookish Tay is your go to place for book recommendations for adults and kids. I read a wide variety of genres, so there really is something for everyone! I also talk about mental health, motherhood, and life.

I’m so happy you’re here, and if you haven’t yet, see what’s new on my blog.

I’d also LOVE to hear from you! Come say hi over on Instagram, comment on the Bookish Tay Facebook page, or send me a tweet on Twitter!

Do you like reading middle grade books? What’s y Do you like reading middle grade books? What’s your favorite? I read (and finished) Bridge of Souls today and I LOVED the conclusion of this fun and spooky trilogy! 👻 these books follow Cassidy Blake who had an experience with and survived. But now she can see ghosts. These books were fun, hopeful, and I know they’ll be ones I’ll read again and again (they’re perfect for Halloween time!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for book 3. Have you read them yet?!

It is the seam between winter and spring—though seam suggests an even hem, and March is more like a rough line of stitches sewn by an unsteady hand, swinging wildly between January gusts and June greens. You don't know what you'll find, until you step outside.” - VE Schwab, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue What books are on your TBR this month? Or do you have a hopefuls list? I’ve got a handful of books I’d love to read, but we’ll see what happens! I know for sure I’ll be picking up some Middle Grade books for #middlegrademarch 😍 I also wanted to show of this stunning candle that came in the Owlcrate exclusive Addie box 🤩🤩 it’s from @alchemyandink and smells so good. I’ve yet to actually burn it though 🙈
What’s one of your goals or intentions this mont What’s one of your goals or intentions this month? Whew. It’s March again. Anyone else feeling more agitated or anxious? That’s what happens when it gets closer to anniversary days of things that were traumatic. So if you’re looking at this month and thinking “I just wanna get through” I see you. This month I’m hoping to channel some of my anxiety and focus into starting a new book! I’m starting the first draft of something new and I’m looking forward to being creative that way. I’m also hoping to put my phone down more and be in the moment or in the quiet since those moments have brought me clarity and peace lately. All of my goal are on my blog today! Link in my bio. Now tell me about yours! I’d love to know how I can cheer you on this month, big or small 💕

📱 Better Together Do you give pretty high ratings? Most of my recent reads have been 4 or 5 stars, since I’ve been trying to put down books that I’m not loving as much! But this month it also makes sense, as half of my reads we’re re-reads and I don’t read books again (generally) unless it was a 4 or a 5 for me!
