A Week in Steamboat Springs + Photos

Two days after we moved we headed up to the mountains with Griffin’s family for a little family reunion/family trip. We stayed in this beautiful cabin and really had a lovely week. We didn’t venture out too much, beyond to go shopping and to see the botanical garden. We played a lot of games and Von got a cold, which Griffin and I both now have.

We enjoyed sleeping in a king-sized bed and can’t wait to have our own someday. Von did great with the moving and the vacationing but she has had a rough couple of days since we’ve been home. I’m hoping to get back into our normal routine (even though we’re in a different place) as soon as we can.

And hoping to get a good bedtime routine down because right now we don’t have much structure and that makes for several hours of us trying to get her down. Not the most fun thing in the world.

I’m exhausted from everything that we’ve been through the past few weeks and I’m excited to get back to my routine too. Griffin starts his new job tomorrow (well, today, it’s late as I’m writing this) and hopefully we’ll get into a new groove of doing things really soon.

I can’t not share this photo. This was the mirror in one of the bathrooms in our cabin. The rest of them were normal, but this one was not made for people who are 5’2”. Ha.

It was a fun trip. I’m happy to be home and with our dog again (even though she woke me up several times last night).
