Wow, how are we already half-way through July?! Over half-way through 2019?! It’s amazing and a little wild at how fast time goes! We’re already in quarter 3 and I can’t believe it!
Earlier this year I decided that instead of sharing monthly goals here on my blog, I would share my goals quarterly. I’ll be doing this for the rest of 2019 and then decide if I want to stick with it or go back to monthly, because I do like talking about goals + progress more than just a few times a year.
One thing I love about every quarter (and every month, week, day) is that it’s a chance to start fresh. To renew your goals or make new ones.
At the beginning of the year I wrote out all of my big picture goals for 2019.
Right before July, I went through my PowerSheets to review my yearly goals, to figure out what was working, what I needed to focus on, and what needed to change.
I love that in the PowerSheets (which is an intentional goal setting tool that I lovelovelove) you get to go over your goals every three months.
The goals + resolutions you set on January 1 don’t have to be the end all be all.
You grow and you change throughout the year, so why shouldn’t your goals?
I’m excited to share my goals for quarter 3. I’m trying to keep them simple but also things that I’m really excited about, so let’s dive in.

Write 2-3 blog posts a week. I finally sat down and made a blog schedule for the next couple of months. I have a ton of ideas and I put them on the calendar, of course things can always change, but you can expect a new post here on Tuesdays and a faith post over here on Sundays. There will also be an occasional Friday post, like today. I need to get consistent though, for my readers and for myself.
Create a freebie + focus on my email list. I’ve been avoiding my email list for months. I did send emails out this week and I’m doing a happy dance. I let the fear of my emails not being perfect + not knowing exactly what to say stand in my way of actually sending any out. I’m currently working on a freebie that you guys will love and if you’re signed up for my email list, you’ll now get weekly inspiration every Wednesday.
Cultivate my faith. My faith has grown so much already this year because it’s been my #1 priority. Over the next three months I’ll be doing a few things to cultivate my faith:
Write the Word journal daily (I just grabbed Write the Word: The Garden which is a new journal this year!)
Kneeling prayer instead of when I’m already lying in bed (and then fall asleep.)
Attend the temple at least once.
Finish writing draft 1 of my book. I got a big insight/idea last night that will really help the plot and overall story of my book and I can’t wait to write it. I’ve got 17k written so far, and I’d love to finish by the end of August if I can (that’s my secret goal) but if it’s in September, that’s okay too.
Grow a faith-filled community on social media. Along with cultivating my own faith, I want to help you grow your faith as well. I revived @thefaithproject__ on Instagram and I started a Facebook Group that will provide daily + weekly inspiration (right now I’m still only posting several times a week, but working up to more) I want us to grow together in faith and purpose.
Create a morning routine. I haven’t had a morning routine like ever honestly, except maybe when I was in high school and then as a missionary. But I want to create a morning routine that will help me get my day started right and give me something to look forward to so I don’t keep hitting the snooze button. I’m always grumpy if I wake up at the same time as Von, I want to be intentional about getting up before her and doing a few things that fill me up and help me start my day right.
