Last summer I made a TBR (to be read) list with about 20 books I hoped to read. I don’t think I read any of them. I love making lists, but when it comes to reading, I’m such a mood reader that saying “I’m going to read this, this, and this during this time” is almost a certain way for me to not read those books.

But, I do have a bit of a hopefuls list. This list is full of books that I have been in the mood for recently, so I’m hoping to get to them soon. I’ve heard so many great things about the books that are already out, and I’m excited to read the ones that will be released soon.

I’ve got a mix of fiction and non-fiction on my summer reading list! I think a lot of these might be audiobooks simply because I’m going to be editing a lot this summer and I’m not sure how much time I’ll actually be reading. I use Libro.fm or the Libby app for all of my audiobooks. I do try to read a physical book for a few minutes every night before bed though.

The books I’m hoping to read this summer:

  1. Tokyo Ever After is one that I’ve been meaning to read soon too! It didn’t capture my attention too much at first but I became hooked after reading the synopsis 🙂 Looking forward to see your thoughts on that one!

    1. I’ve heard a lot of rave reviews too! I’ve got the audiobook ready to go, once I finish Malibu Rising!

  4. It’s winter here so I’m not feeling like reading summer books atm. However, One Last Stop is amazing and I hope you enjoy it. It’s a great summer read!

    1. That makes sense! I’m really looking forward to One last Stop so thank you!

  5. I hope you absolutely ADORE Instructions for Dancing. As you well know, I adored that book. It’s just phenomenal in every way, shape, and form. I can’t stop thinking about it! I also hope to read Malibu Rising (well, listen to it, because I think TJR’s books are just far superior in audio form) and I’d like to check out Tokyo Ever After! I’m still torn on whether or not to do One Last Stop because I really disliked RWaRB (which I know is a huge fan fave oops). We shall see! 🙂

    1. Yes!! I know you loved Instructions for Dancing, I can’t wait to read it. I’m also listening to Malibu Rising, because her books are FANTASTIC on audio!!
I’m a little nervous about One Last Stop too, I also really disliked RWaRB, but the premise of this one sounds more like something I’d like, so we’ll see what happens.

  6. I’m so excited for One Last Stop just like most other people seem to be in the comments! I don’t really know much about the others but Tokyo Ever After has caught my attention too now

    1. So many people are excited for One Last Stop!! Hoping it lives up to a lot of the hype! And I still don’t know a ton about Tokyo Ever After, but I think it sounds super fun!
