October was such a fun month for us (even though we all got a 24-hour bug!) Von and I went to Utah and had so much fun with my family. I’m already wishing we could go back! I also read a ton of really great books last month, and I’m hoping that November will be the same when it comes to the books that I read! We also went to an Alpaca show (see above pictures) and that was so much fun! And just down the street from us which was so funny and random.

Last month on my blog I also shared what I want to accomplish in the rest of 2019, and so far so good! Things are moving right along. I’m working full speed ahead on my novel and can’t wait to share an update with you guys soon!!

And now onto everything that I’m currently reading, watching, and loving!

Currently watching…

Grey’s Anatomy. This will probably be on my list every month because, well, I’m still loving this new season and I just love this show.

Workin’ Moms. This one is rated TV-MA so there’s not really a lot of filtering (swearing, some sex – mainly between married couples) but this show is hilarious. I laugh every episode and I’m like “yup, this is exactly what mom life is like.” It’s pretty real and honest but there’s also so much humor.

Ready, Steady Wiggles, Sesame Street, and Little Baby Bum. Okay. So I don’t really watch these shows, but they’re a pretty regular background of my day because Von loves them. And maybe she shouldn’t have as much screen time as she does (a lot of the time it’s just on while she plays) but some days, the TV keeps me sane and mamas gotta do what she’s gotta do to keep her mental health in check.

Currently Reading…

The Late Bloomers Club. I just started this one (like read the first page and then Von woke up) but I’m excited to read this one. It was recommended by one of you when I asked you to tell me what to read! I’m really looking forward to this one!

A Time to Die. This one is a dystopian that follows Parven who’s numbers (each person has a clock/numbers that tell them when they’re going to die) are running out. This trilogy is by Nadine Brandes, one of my favorite authors and I’m really loving this book so far!

You Are the Girl For the Job. I started this one early in October and then went on vacation and haven’t picked it up again, but I do like reading it at night so I’ll be starting that again soon.

… (listening) The Priesthood Power of Women. Wow. I’m learning so much! This book is excellent and I can’t wait to share all of my thoughts about it when I finish.

And… I’ve got like 5 other books marked as ‘currently reading’ on Goodreads (are we friends over there?) because I’m incapable of reading only one (or 2 or 3) books at a time. I’m a mood reader and have about 6-7 books that I’m in the middle of at any given time.

Currently loving…

the nice-ish weather today. Last week we had a snow storm and I am not ready for winter. I’m happy that the temp is a bit warmer today (still not really hanging outside) but I like the warmer weather more than the snow and cold.

Marco Polo. I’ve been using this app a lot to chat with friends who don’t live close! It’s been so fun to use.

NaNoWriMo. Yes. I love NaNoWriMo. Why? Because of the community. Because I’m in the trenches of my book again, and it’s actually pretty fun. I started off strong, so hopefully, I can keep going steady. I’m still not sure if my book has 50K more words, but I’m writing until I know I’ve got every part that this story needs.

That’s everything I’m currently reading, watching, and loving! What about you?

    1. I hope you enjoy them! I’m always adding books to my list too.

  2. I’ve been hearing such great things about Working Moms. Maybe I can shut off Little Baby Bums long enough to get adult tv time in. Lol. (It’s a life saver though.)

    1. It’s so funny and real! I’ve been watching an episode or two during nap time (they’re only 20 minutes!)

  3. I love keeping track of my books on Goodreads, because I stopped buying books, to clear out the clutter. I haven’t read "You are the Girl for the Job," but it looks good! thanks for the suggestion.

    1. I love Goodreads too! I use the library a lot for most of my books!

  4. Ugh I can’t believe you’ve had a snowstorm already! I’m not looking forward to it. And good luck with Nanowrimo – I used to do it every year before my full time job got so busy. It’s such an accomplishment!

    1. We’ve had a few snowstorms and I’m still not ready! I love looking at it, but it’s not my fave to drive in. Thank you so much! Nanowrimo is fun and stressful but mostly fun.
