Life Lately, Vol. 1

For a few months I did a “Currently” post where I shared everything I was reading, watching, and loving. And while they were fun to write, they just didn’t feel like me. I love writing life updates though, so here we are.

Everything we’ve done in the past 30 days (or life lately)

  • I got my wisdom teeth out. I was extremely nervous about the surgery but everything went great and recovery has been smooth sailing and I’m so thankful. I’m also really thankful my teeth are finally out.

  • Von and I went to Utah! I didn’t really talk about our trip much here, but we stayed with my parents and it was really fun to be back home and reconnect with friends and family. The 4th of July is my favorite holiday and I love celebrating it in Utah, so I’m so glad we were able to be there for that!

  • While we were in Utah we also went to the Love Letters museum that’s in Salt Lake City and it was a book lovers dream! We all had so much fun and if you’re in Utah you need to go!!

We’ve been home for a couple of weeks now and are still trying to get back in our normal routine. I feel like every day I ask “what the heck do you do with a toddler all day?” Well, we read a lot of books, eat snacks, and I’m hoping to take Von to our apartment pool one of these days!

This week I’m busy with The Reading Rush, I did finish one book yesterday so I started off strong! I also am shifting my focus from making blogging a full-time biz to working on The Faith Project which is something I’m super passionate about. Every Sunday I share a post here on my blog that’s faith related and I’ve created a group on Facebook where we can all strengthen and grow our faith together. I’ve got big plans and I feel called to do this, so I know that it’s what I’m meant to be focusing on right now!

My own other focus (besides motherhood) has been writing my novel. I’ve written about 7k words in the past couple of days and I’ll film a writing update soon to shareTell.

I think that’s everything for now. Life has been busy and slow all at the same time. While some days are rough with a toddler who’s learning how to communicate, Griffin and I fall more in love with Von every day!

Good things are happening! Talk to you soon.
