Hi friend, if you're new around here you should know that I love setting goals! I set personal goals and blog goals every month, but I decided that when it came to sharing my goals on my blog, I'll be sharing my big picture goals for each quarter instead of monthly. I just started this, so this is my first ever quarterly goal post. You can check out my goals for the entire year in this post.
Goals for Quarter 2:
Blog + Social Media Goals
Post consistently. My big goal for this quarter is to stick to my posting schedule. You can expect a new blog post every Tuesday and Thursday. These will be about motherhood, mental health, and books, as those are the topics I write most about. This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but life happened and it's going up on a Friday. But I am going to be more consistent in the future.
Be Active on Instagram. Instagram is my favorite social media platform and I really want to take time every day to engage with the people that I'm already connected with as well as engage with new people. I also am going to try and be on my stories daily. I love watching stories and I know that I want to be better at showing up there.
Work with more brands. I've just started working with more brands (like BookSparks and Pampers) and I want to reach out and do more with brands that I love. I'm still not 100% sure what this will look like, but this quarter I'll be brainstorming and then reaching out to brands to work with.
Finish writing my first draft! This is my biggest goal for this quarter. I am about halfway through my first draft of my novel and I really want to finish it. (I'd love to finish it in April, but by the middle of May at the latest. In the past, I've struggled to finish drafts and this time I am determined to finish and then go back and make this one better. I really love this story and I can't wait to share it with you when the time comes.
Start exercising or yoga again. I want to be active. I know that this will help my physical body, but it will also help my mental health. Exercising hasn't been something I've ever been great at, but I'm ready to change that. Once it gets warmer I'd really love to start walking outside with Von every day. But, on the cold days I'm going to start working out or doing yoga at home.
Pray daily + attend the temple at least once. One of my big goals for 2019 is to strengthen my faith. I feel like I've been strengthening my faith and relationship with God a lot this year, but I'm ready to do more. Prayer used to be a daily habit but it isn't anymore. I am making it a priority though because I really do love talking with God. I also want to attend the temple, because it's been far too long!
Put my phone down. I'm really trying to be more present. To play with Von and have a real connection with her and Griffin. I'm trying to be better at leaving my phone in the other room so that I don't reach for it in a quiet moment. Thankfully Von is pretty good at bringing me books all day long so she helps me be more present! But it's still something I'd like to work on, especially in the evening once Griffin is home from work.
