I am a huge fan of romance. In books, movies, and real life.
I have always been a romantic at heart, and there was a time when I thought that Twilight was the best romance around (I was 14 which is my excuse for that one!) Since Valentine's Day is a few days away I wanted to share a few of my favorite romance books. I don't like my romance smutty, so there is no smut on this list. These are just wholesome, fun romances that will make your heart happy when you read them! Writing this list was so much fun and all of these ended up being Young Adult (YA) books!
P.S. I Like Youby Kasie West
I love Kasie West's books. They are always light and fun and a great young adult romance. This one is one is perfect if you love the movie You've Got Mail (which I do). There's secret note passing to strangers, music, and a whole lot of love.
Love a la Mode by Stephanie Kate Strohm
I just finished reading Love a la Mode last weekend. If you love food and love you're going to enjoy this one. Throughout the book, you follow Henry and Rosie as they go to Paris to learn from an amazing chef. This book is also a young adult and even though it will make you hungry, it will also make your heart happy.
Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennet
Alex, Approximately also has some You've Got Mail vibes. Girl and boy meet in an online chat about a movie (if I remember correctly, it's been a little while since I read it) and she discovers that he lives in the same town as her dad, where she's going to be living for the summer. Ah. What a fun story. Cause she moves to the town and doesn't tell the boy and then starts to fall for someone else and it's just a cute, fun time.
Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
Autoboyography takes place in good old Provo, Utah where I grew up. It's about a gay boy who came out a few years previous and then moved to Utah, where he's back in the closet because his parents aren't sure how others will react. Then he falls in love with the teacher's aid (who is a boy) and who is also very a very devout Mormon. I thought this book handled the Mormon church (my faith) really well and I thought that the story was just really cute. One that I really want to read again.
Film making has always been Twinkle's dream. Then when the boy whose twin brother she's been crushing on says that he can help her get a movie into a film festival, it's a match made in heaven. I read this book in just a couple of hours and loved all of the characters! It also made me laugh and smile and love all the young love.
