Tell Me What to Read: Fall 2019 Picks

Last week I asked in this post for some book recommendations!

I got so many and added I think all of them to my TBR + put some of them on hold (I can’t have them all coming at once!) But I wanted to share with you the 3 that I picked to read first. You can read them with me or just wait for me to talk about them here on my blog! I also want to say THANK YOU to everyone who gave me a recommendation! I will most likely be doing this again in the future and can’t wait to read all the books that you guys have loved!

My picks from your recommendations:

Legendary by Stephanie Garber

I read Caraval when it first came out a few years ago. I didn’t love the main character at all. She annoyed me to no end, but I really enjoyed the world + the story. So, I’m going to give book 2 a try since so many people love this story!

The Late Bloomers Club by Louise Miller

A book about two sisters, count me in! I love books about family relationships. I don’t know much about this one (I added it to my list after the first sentence in the summary) but I’m excited to read it!

The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards

This one just sounds SUPER interesting to me. A woman who takes the daughter that her old boss doesn’t want and raises her as her own, I can’t wait to read this one. It also sounds like it might break my heart, but I’m still excited.

Other recommendations I’ll most likely be reading:

You all gave me a TON of books and I really can’t wait to read them all! (Thanks for making my already massive TBR even larger!) These are books that I’m hoping to read soon-ish. Not sure exactly when I’ll get to them, but I will read them at some point.

Again, super huge thanks to everyone who recommended all these amazing books to me! I cannot wait to dive in and read some of these books that I might not have otherwise picked.

What are you currently reading?

  1. The Institute then Imaginary Friend! Are you gonna read/have read A Starless Sea?

    1. I’ve heard so many things about Imaginary Friend! I pre-ordered A Starless Sea and can’t wait to read that one!!

  2. I’m currently reading The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. So far, so good. I haven’t read any of these, so I’ll have to add them to my list!

    1. I haven’t heard of that one, but I’ll have to check it out!! I hope these ones are all great!

  3. I’ve read The Memory Keeper’s Daughter but not the other ones. I’m adding those to my list right now!

    1. That’s awesome! I can’t wait to read The Memory Keeper’s Daughter! I hope you enjoy the others as well.

  4. Love seeing some of the suggestions I gave on this list 🙂 I hope you end up loving the Caraval books once you finish them. I understand not everyone will enjoy the same books or characters, but it became one of my favorites in an instant!

    1. Thanks for your suggestions!! I’m really looking forward to reading all the books you recommended, at least at some point, ha! But I am excited to get back into the Caraval world. I loved the magic, the game, and the atmosphere so I’m hoping I like books 2&3 more!
